On Faith: A Collective Journey

Welcome! We're glad that you're here to participate in this community and learn and grow with us. Learn more about what this journey is all about.

Why collective writing and conversation? Ideally, this shared experience will serve to deepen our walk with Jesus and others in an authentic and meaningful way. What do we hope to do? •deepen our relationship with Jesus through sharing stories, reflections, and testimony of ourselves and others •develop and deepen relationships with fellow journeyers •expand our individual and collective thinking about Jesus and living as a Christian in today’s complex world (After all, iron sharpens iron; together, we are the church and called to live in community with each other. Why not intentionally develop a format for this type of sharpening?) What is this all about? Shared writing and dialogue about topics related to our walk with Jesus, living out our faith as our unique calling in the world. Who will be involved? Whoever is interested in writing and committed to authentically struggling through the complexity of faith together as a community What am I committing to? a. task: writing 500-750 words on a specified topic b. Post online in a forum (yet to be developed) c. Read others’ writing, reflect, comment, converse, grow, learn, build community d. in person gatherings to talk about writings Who are we writing for? Ourselves and others who are interested in participating in this kind of community (with love, grace, hospitality and generosity of spirit, of course) How often will new topics be posted? 1 week (or so) per topic (we’ll see how it goes)
